Do you find it strange that no one on the left seemed to care...

I don't find it strange that there have been no kudos from the ultra-right wing for Chelsea Clinton after her recent marriage announcement. She's in graduate school at Columbia University, and has responsibly delayed marriage and potential parenthood until after her 30th birthday.

To my mind, that  - not a reckless teen pregnancy Ŕ la the Palin clan - is something to be proud of. To each their own, eh?

From the news:

Barack Obama's former campaign manager and John McCain's former campaign manager agree: Sarah Palin would be "catastrophic" for Republicans if she is the party's presidential nominee in 2012.

But someone likes the idea...

Another former Democratic presidential campaign manager, James Carville, appeared on CNN's "American Morning" Monday and mischievously urged Palin to seek the White House.

"I think the most important thing is, run, baby, run," Carville said. "Look, this kind of entertainment can't be beat. I'm serious. It's fun talking about this. She's a complete hoot. She's got a charming - she's got an interesting story. You know what I mean."

Indeed we do James!

You had to expect something like this, eh? Ol' Sarah has thrown her support to the 'birthers', while saying later "she herself has not raised such questions..."

Palin backs questions on Obama citizenship

Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin is lending her support to a conspiracy theory promoted by fringe groups, saying of the idea that President Obama may not have an American birth certificate, "I think the public rightfully is still making it an issue."

Palin's comments came in an interview Thursday on "The Rusty Humphries Show," a conservative radio program, while promoting her book about the 2008 presidential campaign, "Going Rogue."

On ABC's Good Morning America, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger dismissed Sarah Palin's calls for President Obama to boycott the climate talks.

"I think there are people that just don't believe in fixing and working on the environment. They don't believe there is such a thing as global warming, they're still living in the Stone Age, which is OK, we need people like that, too," he said.

Sarah Palin told 'biggest lie of the year'

Sarah Palin has won the dubious honour of telling the biggest political lie of the year, the whopper about "Obama's death panels".

Do you enjoy talking to yourself ATT? It doesn't matter either way I guess.

The truth is that if and when Obamacare gets passed there will be rationing, and government guidelines that get in between the patient and the provider, aka, the Doctor. We already have the finest medical system on the planet, and interjecting the government into our healthcare is a recipe for disaster.

My sis in law has an incurable disease, Ovarian Cancer, and I'm convinced that if Obamacare was in effect three years ago she would be deceased by now. All of her treatments are in the trial and experimental stages and have been for the last two years or more. Excuse me if I am not ready and willing to hand over these decisions to the government willy-nilly, and yet that's exactly what is being proposed.

Count me out.

Arnie is an idiot, and he is certainly not a conservative. His handling of his governorship is best described as mediocre, and bankrupt comes to mind as well. He can not be described as a strong Republican by any reasonable definition. Contrast his record with former Democrat and Union boss Ronald Reagan. Need I say more?

You mean the Ronald Reagan that signed some of the most 'liberal' legislation in the history of California, including taxpayer support of a woman's right to choose by the state?

The annointment of Saint Ronald of the Right cracks me up. He was merely an unconstructed New Dealer that would be purged out of the GOP these days, eh?

You are claiming there isn't rationing now? Under "Obamacare" people will still be able to buy supplemental insurance, eh?

How about folks turned down for a pre-existing condition? Funny the GOP never saw that as a problem when they ran Congress...

Ummm, no, Reagan was nothing of a "New Dealer". You should get your facts straight.

Reagan spent money like a drunken sailor. When he was president (and before that, a governor) he went along with every spending spree that came along - cutting deals so he could spend freely on his pet projects too.

Not to mention the extra cash he picked up illegally trading arms with Iran, eh?

Sarah resorted to notes printed in the palm of her hand after her speech to the Teabaggers...

Ms. Palin read from a prepared speech, so it appeared that the notes scribbled on her hand were in preparation for the 15-minute question and answer session she did afterward with Judson Phillips, the founder of Tea Party Nation...

Pictures and video captured her glancing at her palm while she answered the questions.

The photos were inconvenient, given that her speech had savaged President Obama as a “charismatic guy with a teleprompter” — a line that got one of several cheering ovations from her adoring audience.

Watch Obama trying to speak without a tele-prompter, it's really pretty sad, isn't it? He even brought one to give a talk to kindergartners!

Not only that, he seems to think the their is a hard "P" in the term Marine Corpsman! hehehe!

It's not really that funny, coming from our Commander in Chief though, is it?

actually he does quite well without a teleprompter - take a look at the meeting in Baltimore with the Republicans for an example. I've never seen him even refer to written notes in an interview, on cards or scribbled on his hand. Palin on the other hand had to look at her palm notes with a simple softball question.

The biggest problem with Palin and her palm notes is her hypocrisy - blasting Obama for a teleprompter for prepared speeches, while using schoolkid tactics for notes herself. I saw the tape of her cribbing from her hand and it was embarrassing.

Palin will never equal Obama at speech-giving.  Granted.

We'll see in 2012. This latest gaffe by Palin will only endear her more to her 'true believers', and I predict she'll be the GOP nominee in the next presidential election.

Obama will easily capture the independent voters, and will be reelected - showing once again he has a charmed political career.
